Our Book Selling Service
Our aim is to turn your unwanted books into cash over a matter of weeks and months not years!
And to get you a good price!
We will sell your books worldwide, via our on-line marketing, pricing and fulfilment service. We offer you 25% of the realised
sale price and we pay out on a quarterly or monthly basis by bank giro credit (BGC)
in sterling.
If the apparent sale price of the book is over £100 (based on its rarity) then we may recommend sale at a specialist auction which
we would manage for you.
Our service process in detail:
- We price your books based on information provided by you on our simple template in Excel 97 : we ask you to select
up to 25 books, in the first instance, and which are representative and fall into one or more of the categories set out in that
template.
- We will value your books, determining their quality and looking at comparable offerings on-line against our pre-definition
descriptive criteria.
- We will then give you an indication of the expected sales proceeds but we do reserve the right to reduce the sales price if
the prices of comparable books are also reduced.
- Books shipped to us by you are at your expense and risk.
- If you wish to withdraw a book at a later stage for whatever reason (this has not happened to us yet!) then we would charge
a handing fee of £1 per book plus shipment costs.
- You will be obligated to sign our simple Terms and Conditions which are set out
in the briefest of terms.
We will willingly accept the following for sale:
- All new paperbacks and hard covers
- Gifted or personalised if under 1 lb in weight
- Used: good if under 1 lb in weight
- Used: worn if under 1 lb in weight
- Collectable in any condition or weight
- Most academic material regardless of age or subject
- All books published before 1960
- All books with an ISBN
We do not accept the following for sale:
- Model assembly kits
- Religious tracts such as Bibles, Psalters and prayer books (too many out there)
- Medical publications
- Technical material regularly up dated such books on taxation
- Part works
- Pornography
- Newspapers and magazines
- Sports and Children's Annuals
